Agra is the one of the most prominent destinations in the World Tourism map
with three heritages monuments-The Taj Mahal, Red Fort & Fatehpur Sikri.
It is more just a decedent city of graveyards and stones, but there is more
to this vibrant city of Culture, Art and Religion and philosophies that have
enriched mankind and shaped human thought over centuries.
Ajmer is one city where there is well to do blend and a very happy combination
of both Sufi culture and Hindu religion. Ajmer is a coveted and strategic place
for the Rajputs, the Mughals and the Marathas. Chauhans considered this place
as the heart for their administration work till Prithviraj was defeated in 1193
AD by Mohammad Ghauri. It then became a part of the Delhi Sultanate.
The city of Allahabad is among the largest cities of Uttar Pradesh and situated
at the confluence of three rivers- Gana, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati.
The meeting point is known as Triveni and is especially sacred to Hindus. The
earlier setlemets of the Aryans were established in this city, then known as
Prayag Prayagasya Praveshshu Papam Nashwati Tatkshanam.
Alappuzha ( Alleppey ) is famous for its boat races, houseboats, coir products,

Kanha's sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch
over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendour which form the core of the Kanha
Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is the only habitat
of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). This is original
Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book.
The Kaziranga National Park is the only National Park in the State situated
in central Assam with an area of 430sq. km. It is the home of the great Indian
one horned Rhinoceros (Unicornis). The landscape of Kaziranga is of sheer forest,
tall elephant grass, rugged reeds, mellow marshes and shallow pools.
Khajuraho, the temple city of central India, is famous throughout the world

The largest metropolis in India, Kolkata is a vibrant city on the move, volatile

Mumbai was given by Portuguese as dowry to Charles II of England when he married
Catherine. The group of seven island was leased to the East India Company who

Amongst the grandeur of Rajasthan, discover a unique gem - Pushkar. Lord Brahma
- The creator of the world in a search for his abode on earth, performed the

Brahma Temple in the world.
Rishikesh, also known as the 'place of sages' is Haridwar, at the confluence
of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga. It is believed that God by the name of 'Hrishikesh'
had appeared as an answer to the hard penances by Rabhiya Rishi and henceforth
the place derived its name.
Ranthambhor has been a witness to the rise and fall of many rulers and a series
of battle scenes. In the 13th century A.D., Govinda, the grandson of Prithviraj
Chauhan took over the reign of the land. Later his successor Vagbhatta beautified
the city and built a noteworthy temple at Jhain.
Srinagar district is situated in the centre of Kashmir Valley, is surrounded
by five districts.In the north it is flanked by Kargil,in the South by Pulwama,in
the north-west by Budgam. The capital city of Srinagar,is located 1730 metres
above sea level.The district with a population of around 9,00,000 souls(1991-
census), is sperad over an area of 2228 Sq.Kms.
The city of Udaipur was the most prominent jewel in the crown of the Mewar kingdom
that was ruled by the Sisodia dynasty for as long as 1200 Years. The foundation
of the city has an interesting legend associated with it. According to it, Maharana
Udai Singh, the founder, was hunting one day when he met a holy man meditating
on a hill overlooking the Lake Pichhola.
Welcome at "THE HOLY CITY VARANASI". Varanasi, or Banaras, (also known
as Kashi) is one of the oldest living cities in the world. Varanasi`s Prominence
in Hindu mythology is virtually unrivalled. Mark Twain, the English author and
literateur, who was enthralled by the legend and sanctity of Banaras, once wrote
: "Banaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than
legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together".
